Meet our (growing) team!

We’re thrilled to share some exciting news - our filmmaking team has grown!

As you may know, Big Stories Little Films started just as a Sydney-based legacy film service created by Danika Armytage, who continues to be the Sydney filmmaker. But, we now have both a Melbourne AND a Brisbane film maker who can tell your life stories without you needing to pay any travel fees!

When selecting our new team members, we didn’t just look for talented and experienced documentary filmmakers—we searched for genuinely lovely people. Why? Because creating a legacy film is deeply personal. When you welcome us into your home, your family, and your history, we don’t take that privilege lightly. We feel honoured to help tell the stories of your ancestors and loved ones with the care and respect they deserve.

So, no matter where you are in Australia, you can know that your filmmaker will bring warmth, professionalism, and a deep commitment to telling your story.

Now, without further ado, we’re delighted to introduce our new Melbourne and Brisbane filmmakers—
